Many offices rely on cubicles to become an efficient work space. If you’re looking into adding cubicles to your office, however, you’ll need to do a bit of preparation in order to ensure that your office space is ready for the cubicles to be installed. Here are a few things you need to do in order to prepare for your cubicle installation in Atlanta.
Empty the Space
The area where the cubicles are to be installed should be completely empty. You should remove any furniture or other items, and even take down items hanging on the walls in these areas since the cubicle walls will likely cover them up. Ideally, all of the furniture you’re removing would have another space to go, but if not, you will either want to sell it, scrap it, or store it.
Clean the Area
Give the area a good cleaning after all of the furniture is removed. Vacuum the carpet and have it professionally cleaned if needed, or sweep and mop if the area has linoleum flooring. You should also wipe down the walls so that they are nice and clean before the cubicles go in. If you don’t have time for this sort of thing, have a cleaning company come do it for you.
Paint if Needed
If you’ve been thinking about repainting your office, do it before the cubicles are installed. It is much easier to paint the walls of an empty office space than to try to paint around a bunch of cubicles. If you do it in advance, your paint job will be neat, clean, and professional looking. If you do it after, parts of your walls will have to be left unpainted because of the cubicles’ presence, and that doesn’t look very professional if the furniture is ever rearranged.
